The BHIVA standards of care for people living with HIV were last updated in 2013 (click here for information). BHIVA has been funded by the MAC AIDS Fund to update these standards to include the latest recommendations for HIV care and address the changing UK health and social care arrangements.
Eleven groups and 70 people are currently engaged in reviewing the 2013 standards. We will be consulting on the new content proposed on the basis of this review in November 2017. This will include a half hour session at the BHIVA Autumn Conference (Friday 17th November 2017: 11.40-12.10), an online consultation (details to follow) and the following two meetings in London and Manchester:
Date: Monday 6th November 2017
Venue: Chandler House, UCL, London, WC1N 1PF (www.ucl.ac.uk/maps/chandler-house)
Date: Tuesday 7th November 2017
Venue: Friends' Meeting House, Manchester, M2 5NS (www.meetinghousemanchester.co.uk)
If you would like to attend one (or both) of these two meetings, please contact Alison Howarth ([email protected]) to register.
Tea and coffee will be available on arrival and a sandwich lunch for those who would like to order something to eat.
The budget is unfortunately limited and attendees will need to apply for travel expenses at the time of registration, if required.
