BHIVA has commissioned an independent review of Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EEDI) within BHIVA’s community, including membership and subcommittees.

The review explores identity, lived experiences, and characteristics of the broad BHIVA community, as well as BHIVA’s culture, communications and activities. Exploring these topics will inform recommendations to support BHIVA in further improving diversity and inclusion and in offering opportunities and experiences through improved and equitable policies and culture.

As part of the review, we are inviting you to complete an anonymous and confidential 10-minute online survey. Taking part in this survey is entirely voluntary and your decision will have no impact on your membership or prospects with BHIVA.

The survey is open to everyone in the HIV community, including:

• BHIVA members

• People living with HIV

• All people working in the field of HIV, sexual and reproductive health and infectious diseases, including clinical medicine, advocacy and research

To help the reviewers gain a 360-degree perspective, we also warmly invite you to share the survey link widely amongst your networks, to expand the reach across the broad HIV sector that BHIVA serves.

The survey closed at 11.59pm on 1st July 2022.

The review, including the survey are being conducted and analysed independently of BHIVA, by Purple Pen Research and Evaluation Consulting. BHIVA plans to publish the survey results in August 2022.
