Friday 3 November 2017
It is nearly time for National HIV Testing Week. This event runs from 18-24 November, 2017 and is a great opportunity to encourage HIV testing to reduce late diagnosis.
Last year, the National HIV Testing Week campaign was very successful: 320 organisations got involved, over 64,000 people followed the campaign through social media and more than 20,000 orders for HIV postal testing kits were generated.
You can get involved by:
Organising local testing events in clinics and as a part of outreach in community settings
Registering your events to be promoted in your local area: http://www.aidsmap.com/nhtw
Ordering FREE testing week resources – including posters, stickers, and information leaflets
Sharing National HIV Testing Week social media content to all public networks
From the NHTW Facebook site: https://www.facebook.com/NationalHivTestingWeek/?fref=ts
Using the #HIVtestweek twitter/facebook handle
Using the social media template pack available from this website
For more details, see the campaign briefings.
Now in its fifth year and the third time hepatitis testing has been included, European HIV-Hepatitis Testing Week will take place from 17-24 November 2017.
Testing week 2016 spanned the length and breadth of the continent with partners participating from over 50 European countries. Check out the live feed to see the organisations that have already signed-up to implement testing week activities in their country.
