European HIV Hepatitis Co-infection (EHHC) Conference - Detailed post-conference report

The British HIV Association (BHIVA) has held an annual HIV/Hepatitis Co-infection Conference in the Autumn in London for the last seven years. This year’s event once again brought together those directly involved in the care of HIV-infected patients co-infected with hepatitis B or C, as well as those who have a clinical or research interest in the epidemiology, natural history or basic science of viral hepatitis. The conference was led by a Programme Committee comprising representatives from partner organisations from across Europe. I would like to extend my grateful thanks to the committee members for their efforts in preparing an excellent programme for this conference.

We were especially delighted that a number of eminent speakers from across Europe and the UK agreed to come to London to share their latest research. We would like to thank all our speakers for their invaluable contributions in helping to make the conference a great success.

We would also like to thank all our sponsors and exhibitors for their support of this conference.

Clinical case presentations

This prize was awarded to the presenter of the best clinical case presentation during the conference. Case presentations were submitted for consideration at the conference and reviewed by the EHHC Conference Steering Committee. The Committee judged the applications and selected four clinical cases to be presented during the clinical case presentation session.

The four cases were judged by a EHHC Conference-appointed judging panel and a prize was awarded to the best clinical case presentation.
